Bentley Motors' first-ever branded real estate project has broken ground in Miami’s Sunny Isles Beach.
The 62-story Bentley Residences at 18401 Collins Ave. in the Miami suburb of Sunny Isles Beach, about 19 miles from downtown Miami, is luxury car maker Bentley Motors' first foray into branded real estate.
The condominium tower's 216 units are 40% sold, according to a statement from Dezer Development. Prices at the ultra-luxe tower, which features a patented car elevator capable of whisking residents and their vehicles directly from the street to their units, begin at $5.6 million.
Each unit would have its own infinity pool and outdoor kitchen, which Dezer Development calls a first for South Florida. All units will have views of either the Intracoastal Waterway or the Atlantic Ocean. Dezer Development expects to secure a construction loan of between $550 million and $600 million for the project at a later date, according to media reports.
Coastal Construction is leading the construction of Bentley Residences, which is expected to be completed sometime in 2027. Dezer Platinum Realty and Douglas Elliman Development Marketing are handling sales. Bentley Residences design was led by Bentley's in-house designers, Brett Boydell and Chris Cooke, in addition to Sieger Suarez Architects.
The project marks the second time Gil Dezer, president of Dezer Development, has built a car-themed condo and follows the developer's 2017 launch of the Porsche Design Tower that is less than half a mile from the Bentley project. Porsche Design Tower includes an earlier version of the car elevator named after the developer.
As new, deep-pocketed residents continue to migrate to South Florida, branded condos have become increasingly common, including those backed by automakers and their design teams.
In downtown Miami, G&G Business Developments is wrapping up construction of Aston Martin Residences, and Mercedes-Benz recently announced its own branding partnership with JDS Development Group for Mercedes-Benz Places, a 791-unit branded condominium in Miami’s Brickell Financial District.
Unique to Dezer Development's properties, however, is the car elevator system that takes residents and their cars directly to their units. Bentley Residences will have four of these systems that allow for three- and four-car garages on every floor.
In an October interview, Dezer told CoStar News that “automotive brands today, because of where they are going, are going in on the lifestyle side. They're designing the cars that will hold that set of golf clubs or will hold those rackets or whatever the case is, just to create that lifestyle and extend the lifestyle so it's not just driving a car anymore.”
Bentley Residences will feature design elements from the luxury car brand, such as Bentley's diamond motif, a common sight in the automaker's car interiors, which is present in tiling and stitching on furnishings throughout the units. Materials like copper-accented wood panels and an integrated car-to-residence sound system lifted from Bentley’s concept and production cars have also made their way into the
